Capsicum Curry (Simple Green pepper Curry)

This curry can be used as a side dish. It is very tasty and easy to prepare. Goes well As a side dish with rice and rotis.
Ingredients:
  • Capsicum (green pepper)-2cut it into cube
  • Onion -1finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
  • Cumin seed-1/2tsp
  • Mustard seed-1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  • Coriander powder-1/2tsp
  • Green Chilli-2finely chopped
  • Coconut powder (shredded)-2tbsp
  • Oil-3tsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Coriander leaves-for garnishing
Preparation:
Heat oil in pan add mustard seed and cumin seed when they start splutter add
Onion sauté till very little brown add ginger garlic paste when raw smells goes add
Turmeric powder coriander powder sauté for few seconds add capsicum and salt.
Mix it properly. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes on medium flame or capsicum is tender.
Now add coconut stir properly. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Turn off the heat. Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy your quick and healthy side dish with rice or chapati.

Naan Khatai(Eggless Indian Cookies)

Naan khatai is very popular Indian cookies. It is egg less crispy and quite easy to make.
 Ingredients:
  • Maida(all purpose flour)-1 cup
  • Sugar powder-1cup
  • suji(rava)-1/4 cup
  • Besan(gram flour)-1/2 cup
  • Ghee-1/2 cup
preparation:
Preheat the oven 350 degree F or 180 degree c.
Take melted ghee in big mixing bowl beat it till get light and white fluffy.
It takes around 3 to 4 minutes. If you’re doing in summer you can keep some ice bottom of mixing bowl.
Add sugar powder mix properly.
Now add maida, suji and besan one by one mix it properly.
Knead them together make smooth dough. Divide into small balls.
Press gently with your palm. Make mark with knife.
Arrange them on greased cookie sheet 2inches apart.
Bake them in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Take out from the oven let it cool them completely. Store in an air tight container.
Enjoy with family and friends with hot cup of tea.

Boondi Ladoo

Boondi ladoo is very special Indian sweet dish make for festival . It’s an all-time favorite sweet. Making boondi is little time consuming, but it takes just little patient, I'm Sure you will enjoy making these.
Ingredients:
For boondi:
  • Besa(gram flour)-1cup
  • Water-one and half cup
  • Orange or yellow color-a pinch (optional)
For sugar syrup:
  • Sugar-one and half cup
  • Water-1cup
  • Cardamom powder-1/4tsp
Other ingredients:
  • Cashew, almond and pistachio-broken pieces
  • Oil or ghee for frying
Preparation:
In a big bowl take besan, color and water. Mix properly until there are no lumps.
The batter should be dosa batter consistency. Keep aside.
Heat 1tsp ghee in a pan; fry the cashew, almonds and pistachio till golden brown.
Mix sugar and water let it boil till reaches 1/2 thread consistency. Syrup should be sticky between the fingers. Add cardamom powder and keep aside.
Heat ghee in deep pan on medium heat; take a spoonful of batter pour onto a boondi maker or perforated ladle, tap it gently with the back of the spoon so that boondi falls into the oil.
Fry them till they stop sizzling and until golden brown. Place them directly into the sugar syrup.
Repeat till all the batter is used up.
Add almonds, cashew and pistachios pieces, mix everything properly.
Let them soak for 15-20 minutes.
Make ladoo with moist hand.

Instant Shrikhand(Shrikhand with Greek yogurt)

Ingredients:
  • Greek yogurt-2cups
  • Sugar -1/2 cup(to taste)
  • Saffron –few strands
  • Milk- 2tbsp
  • Cardamom powder-1/2tsp
  • pistachio- for garnishing
Preparation:
Add saffron in lukewarm milk. Mix the yogurt and sugar
in deep bowl till it gets smooth consistency .
Now add cardamon powder and saffron milk. beat it well till mixture
is creamy and rich.
Garnish with pistachio pieces.
Refrigerate for 2 hours and serve chilled.

Sabudana Khichdi(Sago Khichdi)

Sabudana khichadi mostly made during fast. It is very simple tasty and healthy too,
It can be eaten for breakfast or snack as well.
Ingredient:
  • Sabudana(sago)-1 cup  
  • Potato-1
  • Peanut- ½ cups (roasted and powder)
  • Cumin seed -1/2tsp
  • Green Chilli-1chopped lengthwise
  • Tomato -1 cut it into cubes
  • Salt (sendha namak)-to taste
  • Coriander leaves-for garnishing
  • Ghee-2tbsp
Preparation:
Wash sabudana in water until you get clear water. Soak them in enough water 
to just cover it for 2-3 hours.
Peel the potatoes and chop into small cubes.
Heat ghee into pan adds cumin seed when they crackle add green Chilli and potatoes.
Stir and cook them until little brown. Now add tomato cook till get soft.
Then add soaked sabudana, salt and peanut mixture. Mix it properly and cover it.
Cook for 5-6 minutes on low heat. Keep stirring in between.
Garnish with coriander and serve with sweet curd.

Dahi Bhindi(kerala Style)

Dahi bhindi is tangy dish with coconut and cashew in kerala style. it is simple easy to make and tastes good with chapati.
Ingredients:
  • onion -1(chopped)
  • tomatoes-2(chopped)
  • Bhindi(okra)-1/2 kg
  • curd- 1/2cup
  • Mustard seeds-1tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1tsp
  • Whole red chilli-2
  • Red chilli powder--1tsp
  • Urad dal-1tbsp
  • Curry leaves-6-7
  • coconut-1
  • cashew- 2tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil -3tbsp
  • Oil for frying
Preparation:
wash and dry the bhindi,cut them into long pieces.
Deep fry and keep aside.
Make a smooth paste of coconut and cashew with little water.
Heat oil, once it is hot add cumin, mustard seeds and urard dal.
Let them splutter, add red chilli and curry leaves, after a while.
Add onion fry until light brown.
Add the tomatoes and cook till soft.
Now add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coconut and cashew paste.
Salt and cook until oil separates.
Whisk the curd with 1/2 cup water and add it to the pan, stir well.
Add the bhindi and cook for few minutes.
Serve hot with chapati and rice.

Nutella Banana Milkshake

This milkshake is fantastic and healthy, perfect for a quick breakfast and quite filling.
Ingredients:
  • Banana -1(roughly chopped)
  • Nutella -2tbsp
  • Milk -1cup
  • Pistachios and almonds –for garnishing
Preparation:
Add all the ingredients in a blender .blend until well combined and smooth.
Pour it into a glass and Sprinkle some almonds and pistachios.

Baigan ki kadhi(Eggplant Kadhi)

 Ingredients:
  • Brinjals- 4 medium size (cut into slices)
  • Besan (gram flour)-2tbsp
  • Yogurt-2 cups
  • Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  • Red Chilli powder-1/2tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1/2tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds-1/2tsp
  • Red dry Chilli-2(broken into halves)
  • Asafetida (hing)-1/4tsp
  • Curry leaves-4-5
  • Oil-2tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander laves-for garnishing
Preparation:
In a big bowl add yogurt,besan,turmeric powder,red Chilli powder, salt, 2 and half
cups of water, mix all together properly. Make sure that there are no lumps.
keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan on medium heat add fenugreek seed, mustard seed,curry leaves
dry red chilli,hing,stir for few seconds.
Now add brinjals, sauté them for 2 to 3 minutes, add yogurt and beasn mixture
Stir continues ally until kadhi starts boiling.
Continue to simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
serve hot with Rice.

Cucumber Ka Chilla(Cucumber Pancake)

Ingredients:
  • Cucumber-2cups (grated)
  • Besan(gram flour)-1 cup
  • Rice flour-1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves-1tbsp (finally chopped)
  • Cumin seed-1/2tsp
  • Green chilli-2(finally chopped)
  • Ginger-1/4tsp(grated)
  • Salt- to taste
  • Oil-for cooking
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl gradually add water to
get dropping consistency batter.
Heat a non stick pan on medium heat. add little oil on it and spread evenly.
pour a spoonful of batter on pan, spread it in circular shape
wait 40- 50 seconds for it to be done on one side.
Drizzle some oil and turn it over, cook other side till it
turns to little brown in color.
serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Paneer Manchurian

This is very popular indo- Chinese dish with great combination of paneer and Manchurian sauce.
Ingredients:
  • Paneer- 2 cups(cut into cubes)
  • corn starch- 1/2 cup
  • Maida (all purpose flour)-1 tbsp
  • ajinomoto -1/2 tsp
  • garlic clove - 4-5 finely chopped
  • ginger-garlic paste- 3tsp
  • soya sauce -3tsp
  • spring onion -2 finely chopped
  • chili sauce- 2tsp
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • oil fro frying
  • salt to taste
Preparation:
Make a batter of corn starch, maida,ginger garlic paste and
salt dip the paneer pieces into batter and fry them in hot oil
till golden brown.
Heat oil in another pan and add chopped garlic, add green
chili and fry for a while.
now add soya sauce, chili sauce, spring onion fry for few
seconds now add 2 cups of water and allow it to boil.
now add fried paneer.
take 3 tsp corn starch with 1 cup of water and mix properly.
add this on paneer. keep on stiring while adding it so lumps
are not formed.
add ajinomoto, salt,coriander leaves and mix well.
Enjoy your hot panerer manchuriyan with plain cooked rice

Heart shaped Egg Toast



I love this idea, isn't it so cute.  It is very easy to make and doesn’t take much time also.Valentine day is coming up here. this recipe is perfect for valentine day breakfast . Make it for your beloved ones. I saw this on Martha stewart.
Ingredients:
  • Egg-1
  • Bread-1
  • Cookie cutter or sharp knife
  • Butter
Method:
Using a heart shape cookie cutter or sharp knife remove the center of the bread.
Spread the butter into the pan on medium heat.
Place the bread and cook for 1minute or till it toast.
Toast the cutout shape also.
Flip over bread, crack egg carefully to the center of the cut out the heart shape.
Cook until egg is set.
Sprinkle the salt and enjoy your heart shape egg and toast.

Handi Paneer

Handi Paneer is the special creamy and spicy recipe, here paneer is cooked in special type of gravy of yogurt and served in mitti ki handi. That’s why known as Handi Paneer. It is one of the most famous recipe of mouth watering Punjabi cuisine. This dish is full of rich flavors which for sure spread the aroma of yogurt based creamy and flawless gravy.
Ingredients:
1. 200gm cottage cheese(paneer
2. 1/2 cup yogurt
3. Onion-1 cup cut into slices
4. Tomatoes-1cup chopped
5. Green chillis-2-3 chopped
6. Ginger -1 inch minced
7. Garlic -3 minced
8. Coriander leaves chopped
9. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
10. Bay leaves-2
11. Red chilli powder -1/4 tsp
12. Oil Salt-to taste
Preparation:
Cut the paneer into cubes.
Heat 1 tbsp. oil in pan on low flame ,fry paneer cubes until they get light brown.
Again take 2 tbsp. oil in same pan heated on medium flame for about a minute then add
Bay leaves, Stir well and fry for few second.
Then add onion and green Chilli and mix well ,cook it for until little brown.
Then add ginger and garlic and cook for another 2 -3 minutes.
Now add tomatoes salt, red Chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well.
Cook till tomatoes become tender.
Stir the gravy in every 1-2 minutes.
When the oil separates from the mixture add curd into it, stir continually.
Cook on medium heat until it from a thick gravy and add some water and after a boil
Change it to low flame.
Now it’s time for add paneer and mix well.
Cook for couple of minutes turn off the heat.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Enjoy your handi paneer with naan or chapatti.

Boondi Raita

Boondi raita is very popular in north india.it is very quick and easy to make with readymade boondi.

Ingredients:
  • Yogurt (curd)-2cup
  • Boondi-1/4cup
  • Roasted cumin powder-1/4tsp
  • Black salt-a pinch
  • Sugar-1/2tsp or to taste
  • Salt –to taste
For tadka:
  • Green Chilli (slit)-2
  • Cumin seed-1/4tsp
  • Curry leaves-4-5
  • Ghee -1/2tsp
Method:
Beat yogurt till smooth. Add all the ingredients and mix properly.
Add boondi and mix well.
Heat ghee in a pan; add cumin seed let them splutter, add curry leaves, and green Chilli
Add it into yogurt and boondi mixture. Mix well.
Serve chilled as a side dish with pulav,biryani or paratha.


   

palak paratha(spinach paratha)

 
Ingredients:
  • Palak leaves (spinach)-1and 1/2cups
  • Wheat flour-2 cups
  • Cumin seed -1tsp
  • Garlic -2-3 cloves
  • Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  • Green Chilli-2
  • Salt- to taste
  • Oil- for cooking
Method:
Make a fine paste of spinach,cumin,garlic and green Chilli.
In a mixing bowl add wheat flour, turmeric powder, and salt, spinach paste
Add water little by little and make it to soft dough.
Divide dough into small sized balls. Flour the surface and take one ball roll into paratha.
Dust it while rolling whenever necessary.
Heat pan, place the paratha on pan, drizzle some oil and cook paratha from both side till golden brown spot appear.
Serve hot with plain curd or boondi raita.

Home made French Fries


It is very easy and perfect homemade French fries. You can have them any time of the day.
Ingredients:
  • Potatoes-4
  • Oil –for frying
  • Salt-to taste
  • Water
Method:
Wash and peel potatoes. Now cut it into long even strips.
Soak them into ice cold water for 20 to 30 minutes.
Take enough water for boiling in a big pan. When water
Start boiling adds fries and salt. Boil them till half done.
Remove from the pan and pat dry in a paper towel.
Heat oil in a pan and place fries into pan fry till golden brown.
Your French fries is ready to serve.
Serve with tomato sauce or ketchup.
