Custard Ice Cream(No Eggs/No Ice Cream Maker)

This is our second batch of this ice cream making at home since I saw in Babi 's Recipes it is very rich ice cream with vanilla custard flavor. After trying this recipe,I'm so happy to have this homemade ice cream without ice cream maker. This is one of the simplest and easiest ice cream that I have come across. My son and daughter just loved it.

Ingredients:
  • Milk-500 ml(2 cups)
  • Sugar-1/2 cup
  • Custard powder-3 tbsp
  • Whipping cream-1/2 cup

Method:
Mix two tbsp milk and custard powder without any lumps.keep aside.
Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan, add custard mixture.
Keep stirring till turns semi thick batter, add sugar and mix well.
Turn off the heat.let it cool little bit.
Whisk whip cream and add milk and custard mixture, mix well.
Pour it in a container and close the lid of the container and freeze it for 5 to 6 hours.
After 6 hours blend it again to break ice particles and freeze it again for 2 to 3 hours.
Enjoy!!!!
Note:
Before serving keep in refrigerator for 20 to 25 minutes.
I have used homemade whipping cream, will share the recipe soon.
