Matar Paneer (Cottage cheese with Peas)

Matar paneer is the one of best and most popular dish in North India.I love all kind of paneer recipes because it is high in protein and minerals.This is one my family's most favorite paneer dish too. it can be served in any occasion with rice or naan as special item.
here i  used homemade paneer.will share the recipe sometime later.
Ingredients:
  • Paneer-1 cup( cubes)
  • Matar(peas)-1cup
  • Onion -1 (roughly chopped)
  • Tomato-2 ( roughly chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tbsp
  • Cumin seeds-1tsp
  • Bay leaf -1
  • Turmeric powder-1tsp
  • Coriander powder-2 tsp
  • Red chili powder-1/2 tsp
  • Kasoori methi-1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Oil -1 tbsp for cooking
  • Oil for paneer frying
Method:
Heat oil a pan shallow fry paneer cubes until slightly become golden brown.
Keep them on paper towel.
Heat 1/2tbsp oil in same pan add cumin seed when they starts crackle add onion sauté
For 2 to 3 minutes add tomato and fry for another 2 minutes.
Turn off the heat and cool and grind in a mixer till smooth paste.
Heat reaming oil in same add bay leaf fry for few seconds add tomato and onion paste.
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes add ginger garlic paste fry till raw smell goes away.
Add turmeric powder,red chili powder, coriander powder and salt mix well.
Add paneer,peas and 1 and 1/2 cup of water and bring to boil.
Cover and cook for another 3 minutes. Add kasoori methi cook for 2 more minutes.
Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with naan,chapati or any kind of rice and paratha.
Enjoy!!!

Note:
If you are using fresh peas then first boiled them with some water and salt.

Capsicum and Soya chunks Curry(Green Pepper with Nutrela)

We all know Nutrela are rich in proteins and peas and capsicum are packed with nutrients and vitamins. I prepared this  simple yet very tasty and something different combination. this quick and tasty curry goes well with chapati.Try this healthy and easy recipe for yourself and enjoy!!!


Ingredients:
  • Capsicum-2 (cut into cubes)
  • Nutrela(soya chunks)-1cup
  • Green peas-1/2 cup( I used frozen)
  • Onion-1choppedGreen chilli-2chopped
  • Curd -2tbsp
  • Ginger garlic past-2tsp
  • Hing-pinch
  • Cumin seed -1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powde-1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/4tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil-1tbsp
How to prepare:
Soak Nutrela in warm water for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in pan add cumin seed when they start splutter, add hing saute for seconds.
Add onion and saute until golden brown in color. Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli
fry until raw smell goes away. Add curd ,turmeric powder,red chilli powder ,coriander powder and salt cook for 2-3 minutes or till oil separates.Add capsicum,peas and soaked soya chunks and mix well. Add 1&1/2 cup of water and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. Turn off the heat.
Garnish with coriander leaves .
Serve hot with chapati.

Nutrela(Soya Chunks) Peas Pulav

Nutrela is very high in protein and fiber. It’s a meat substitute for vegetarian. Nutrella is my son's Favorite too, he loved so much so I make it so often for his school lunch. This delicious pulav is quite Easy to make and very nutritious. it taste great with curd. You can add any vegetables of your choice.Try this simplest One pot meal.
Ingredient:
  • Rice -2cups
  • Nutrela-1cup
  • Peas-1/2cup
  • Potato-2
  • Onion-1(chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
  • Cumin seed-1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  • Garam masala- 1/4tsp
  • Oil-1tbsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Coriander leaves-for garnishing 

Method:
Soak nutrela in hot water for 20 minutes.
Wash rice and drain the water and keep it aside.
Wash potato and cut it into cubes. I don’t peel potatoes.
Heat oil in pan add cumin seed when they start splutter add onion and green Chilli fry
Until onions turn light brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till raw smell goes away.
Add turmeric powder fry for seconds. Add potato green peas mix properly.
Now squeeze the water from nutrela  and  add it to the pan. cook for 2 to 3 minutes
Add rice, salt and garam masala give a nice stir. Add  4 cups of water. Cover and cook till
Rice has done. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with curd.
